Standard Pressure Units
Pressure is the force applied perpendicular to the surface of an object per unit area. In SI units, pressure is expressed in Pascals (N/mยฒ). For automotive tires, scuba tanks, and industrial piping, Bar and PSI are the most widely used pressure units.
Imperial / Automotive
Pounds per square inch (PSI). Typical car tire pressure is between 30 and 35 PSI.
Metric & Atmospheric
Bar (100,000 Pa), Pascals (Pa), Kilopascals (kPa), and standard Atmosphere (atm).
